What the heck is a scarab? I hate carving pumpkins - it's too hard. We usually go for the traditional triangles and empty tooth smile. I saw one that was so funny one time - it was carved to look like it was throwing up and then all the insides - seeds 'n' all were spewed all over the ground in front of it. Love it!! maybe i'll try that one year.
